  2. I’ve heard Pinecrest referred to as Paincrest. As well as Hurdman called Hurtman.
  3. Definitely not the D800 that I knew very well from my time in Winnipeg - and rode often here in Ottawa. At least one of the OC-T D800s had large green tinted plexiglas ‘sunroofs’ that opened to vent. An operator once told me that it was ordered for purposes of Grey Line Tours and to give tourists a better view. That Flxible I thought I rode could have been a Flyer D700A, though. For some reason I recall struggling to pronounce Flxible - and this was at least a decade before the internet to even know about the company. But it’s so long ago that it also could be a false memory.
  4. I once rode a Flxible New Look in OC Transpo livery. It was in the mid-1980s and I boarded on the Mac bridge and took it to Orleans on what was then the 37. I suspect that it was one of the CL-218 produced by Canadair but it might have been a later Grumman model. I remember seeing it another time or two. But I only rode it the once. I’ve never seen it mentioned in any history of OC Transpo’s fleet.

  6. I personally found the mezzanine level of Lyon Station a little confusing / disorienting as all opposite sides appear to be a mirror image of one another. I will need to look at this again to validate my first impression.

  8. I was on the second revenue service train out of Tunney’s. We pulled out at 1:53 PM EDT to the spontaneous eruption of applause from all in the vehicle. I took it all the way to Blair and then back to Tunney’s. From there I returned east, getting off at every station to familiarize myself with its platform perimeter and other levels where applicable. At uOttawa station I shared a few words of appreciation with Saint Jim of Lisgar Street and thanked Allan Hubley for the above-noted professional courtesy.   10. Two observations: 1) Can we not also move to trainsets that eliminate the centre cabs? In that way we loose the ability to sever trainsets but also increase capacity. 2) Rather than Carling, I would propose a relief or second east - west alignment that follows Hazeldean / Robertson / Old Richmond / Baseline / Walkley / Innes roads.
