Though now, it seems the Feds will end up funding the Airport's contribution, which is understandable. 

Developers are funding 50% of the extension from Bowesville to Limebank, with the Province funding the other 50%.

I imagine developers proposing new towers at Bayshore and Blair will fund their own connections to the respective stations. The City also seems to expect Brigil will eventually fund the Trim pedestrian bridge extension to the north side of the 174.
