Montréal, December 22, 2025 – exo and the Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM) today announced the opening date of Côte-de-Liesse Station. As final residual work and testing are completed over the coming weeks, the partners are confident the new station will open on January 12.

The station will then become the terminus of the Mascouche Line (Train Line 15). Access to the new station will strengthen the complementarity of public transit networks for residents of Montréal’s North and South Shores.

Shorter Trips to Downtown Montréal

With the station entering service, riders will benefit from a direct transfer to the Côte-de-Liesse station of the Réseau express métropolitain (REM). In addition, the Sauvé station on the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) metro network will remain a possible transfer point along the line. This milestone also marks the end of Train Line 15 Mascouche service to Central Station.

With the opening of Côte-de-Liesse Station and the connection to the REM, passengers on the Mascouche Line will see their travel time to downtown Montréal reduced from approximately 1 hour 50 minutes to about 1 hour 07 minutes, a time savings of 45 minutes. This initiative therefore provides faster and more efficient access to downtown Montréal.

exo invites customers to discover their new route to downtown now, consult the new schedule available on its website, and plan their trips using Chrono.

For information on applicable fares, the ARTM invites users to consult the fare grid currently in effect on the website artm.quebec.

“Long awaited, the new Côte-de-Liesse Station represents excellent news for exo customers, whose trips to downtown will be faster. This infrastructure strengthens mobility in Greater Montréal and reflects our commitment to offering services adapted to the needs of citizens,” said Marc Rousseau, Chief Executive Officer of exo.

“The opening of Côte-de-Liesse Station is a key step in improving the integration of public transit networks in the metropolitan region. By offering a direct connection to the REM, we are strengthening accessibility and mobility for thousands of residents. It is the result of significant collaborative work among partners and illustrates our shared commitment to delivering a modern, reliable transportation experience better suited to users’ needs,” said Philippe Dubé, Director of Operations Management and Equipment, Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM).
